My name is Matthew Hall and I’ve been on the net since about 1989. I’m a CompSci graduate, although I took a few more years than my peers to complete the degree (I was, ahem, learning about the world…)
I did get to work for a couple of dotcoms here in Sydney. Sure I made a few bucks … but the options went so far underwater they ran out of air 😦
For many years I turned my skills towards FileMaker databases, a very interesting world. What is really great is being able to give tools to people so they can see things in their data that they didn’t know existed, while taking drudgery out of their business processes.
As it is I’ve written numerous websites, some having vanished others still surviving out there in the electronic wastelands.
I’m a gadget junkie who was frustrated by a weak Aussie dollar and a tight wallet. Now the Aussie is strengthening, but I’ve got the kids to spend the money on 🙂 I’ve been a Macintosh fan since I first began working on them in 1986, I have a degree in Computer Science and a family to call my own.
This is my place. Or should I say, this is another of my places. If you like what you see, drop me a line, subscribe to the content or send a cheque 🙂
2004 – I thought it might be a clever idea to put my (birthday) wish list here, just in case 🙂 Hmm, looks like hosted Manila didn’t like the list included. I’ll try somewhere else …

Thought you would like to know about it.
Jared, I was starting to think I was down here all by myself – in the last 24 hours I’ve been discovering the local community and your comment is *most* welcome – I’ll be voting for Sydney, naturally 🙂
